Welcome to Courtyard I

Courtyard I is dedicated to traditional freshmen under the age of 21 years.* This complex consists of private bedroom/ private bathroom and private bedroom/ shared bathroom options. Each bedroom comes with internet, telephone and cable access. Amenities in this area include a swimming pool, coin operated laundry facility, recreational area, volleyball area, clubhouse with a pool and ping pong table and access to Courtyard II basketball courts. Courtyard I also contains the Wall Street and Intensive Study learning communities.

* Residents 17 years of age are required to have a Consent for Medical Treatment form on file with Residence Life.

Housing & Meal Plan Options & Pricing

Residence Life housing options are apartment-style with full kitchens and living rooms. All fees are per person/per semester. The prices include local phone service, internet/e-mail access, extended cable TV, all utilities, and basic furnishings. A meal plan is required when residing in student housing.

Learning Communities of Courtyard I

Wall Street

Wall Street is a living community in Courtyard I North. Residents in this community have a private bedroom/ private bathroom. They enjoy all the amenities of Courtyard I. Eligible residents of this community must have completed 30 or more credit hours, must have and maintain at least a 2.5 GPA, be a business major, follow the 24 hour quiet hours policy, and abide by the No Alcohol policy. Residents of Wall Street participate in monthly programs to expand and educate on real world business ventures and opportunities.

Intensive Study

Intensive Study is a living community in Courtyard I North. Residents in this community have a private bedroom/ private bathroom. All amenities of Courtyard I are included. Eligible residents must have completed 30 or more credit hours, possess and maintain a 3.0 GPA, must follow the 24 hour quiet hours policy and abide by the No Alcohol policy.

Location and Driving Directions

From the main campus entrance exit right onto University Avenue. Follow University Ave. for about ½ a mile. You will see a blue and white sign on your right that says Columbus State University Residence Life. Turn right into the small parking lot. The Residence Life Office is the single-story building on the left (building F).
